That’s how long it took to dirty my car again after washing it. Though I will admit the route doesn’t help my case.

When I commute to work, I take the faster, more straightforward way (less reasons to stop, higher overall speed limit). On the way home, I take the shorter way via the dirt backroads (backroads are easier to navigate during daylight). Weird thing is, both routes have a guaranteed 1/4-1/2 mile of dirt road; the shorter route just adds like a mile or two of pure dirt roads.

Also, the snow is melting and mud is appearing, which increases the likelihood of getting dirty. But getting a car wash every week to keep my car looking clean seems sort of silly when it doesn’t take long to re-dirty it. Though admittedly, I feel the pt cruiser looked way better with the dirt thrown across it, :p.

The good news is that I got the new tags on the car, which was the whole reason I got the car wash in the first place.

Has it given you any problems yet? Isn’t it coming up on a year of ownership?

OPPO review?

Not too many problems, usually just wear and tear stuff, like the brakes or the transmission mounts (mine are definitely dying). But the car had been in two accidents before I got it, so I’m not entirely sure what the norm is for it.

I will say the tranny seems like it ‘slips’ sometimes, I can feel a small gap as it changes gears.

It’s been nearly a year, but I can try to do a oppo review. With this being my 2nd car, I’ve noticed things that I preferred on my first car more than this one.

You looking at one?

Yeah, makes sense, and thanks! The prix is quite different than driving a pt. Pros and cons for each really.

I live on a gravel road, which is pretty messy with all the thawing going on right now. But even during the summer, I’ve found that washing more than once every week or two is a bit of a waste...

It just accumulates too easily, that I'm not bothered by it anymore. Though I do think the car looks weird clean, lol.
